When: Friday, November 9
Where: Liverpool, NY
Rite Aid associates from Liverpool, NY, volunteered twice this November at two senior lunch programs hosted by P.E.A.C.E. Inc., at senior centers located in North Syracuse, Cicero and Liverpool, NY. General Manager Kevin Neary purchased apple pies and ice cream for the events, serving more than 90 senior citizens at their annual harvest dinner. Associates were excited to work alongside P.E.A.C.E Inc., a community organization dedicated to teaching people how to live independently and help themselves.
Pharmacy District Manager Bill Spink spent time answering seniors’ questions about flu and shingle shots, prescriptions and Medicare. After their time spent volunteering, senior center residents and staff invited the Rite Aid Associates back for Christmas, and told them that this time, they wouldn’t need to bring ice cream or pie!
