Rite Aid’s Day of Caring

When: Thursday, September 16

Where: Harrisburg, PA

A group of 122 Rite Aid Corporate associates helped kick off United Way of the Capitol Region’s 2010 campaign by participating in the 18th annual Day of Caring on September 16, 2010.

Day of caring is the largest one-day mobilization of volunteers in Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties in PA.  Dressed in “LIVE UNITED” T-shirts, Rite Aid volunteers donated their services at one of five non-profit locations, working on projects such as indoor and outdoor cleanup, painting, landscaping, sorting donated clothing and cleaning and restoring grave stones in Civil War-era cemeteries.
