Rite Aid Shields New Yorkers from the Flu at Grand Central Terminal Flu Clinic

When: Thursday, October 6

Where: New York, NY

Rite Aid Pharmacists made it easy for busy New York City commuters to get their flu shots during the “Shield Yourself, New York” event held at Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall that took place Oct. 5 through 6, 2011.  For every flu shot administered at the event, Rite Aid donated $3 to Tuesday’s Children, a non-profit organization that supports the families of 9/11 victims and first responders.

Rite Aid also distributed thousands of free donation tickets to the busy commuters passing through Vanderbilt Hall both days, donating $3 to Tuesday’s children until Nov. 30, 2011, for anyone who presented a Grand Central Terminal donation ticked when purchasing a flu or flu shot gift card at any Rite Aid.  Rite Aid committed to donating a minimum of $15,000 to Tuesday’s Children through this event.
