When: Tuesday, October 16
Where: Detroit, MI
We ended our RA50 tour of Detroit at Beaumont Children’s Hospital, a research and teaching hospital that meets the needs of more than 100,000 infants, children and teens. We are grateful to have a pantry named after us to in honor of Rite Aid’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital donations: the Rite Aid Family Pantry.
The Pantry is located on the pediatric intensive care unit across from the nurse’s station. A group of Rite Aid associates re-stocked and organized the Rite Aid Family Pantry in the Beaumont Children’s Hospital with an assortment of healthy snacks, family games, and hospital supplies. Our team was greeted by “Thank You” cards in appreciation of Rite Aid’s support throughout the years. Staff members were kind enough to share a tour of the facility and its history.
We were able to see how their annual CMN fundraising is put to use in the Children’s Miracle Network Garden—a 4,000-square-foot glass enclosed area for patients and their families with state-of-the-art entertainment technology where children can play video games, watch movies or relax in the garden with family. The staff shared success stories through the hospital’s work and partnership with Rite Aid.
