Celebrating 50 years of making our communities well with 50 acts of wellness

Lancaster Rite Aid Associates Lend a Helping Hand to Benefit the Children’s Center of Antelope Valley

When: Saturday, October 13

Where: Lancaster, CA

On Oct. 13, 2012, Rite Aid associates in Lancaster held their first of many scheduled community RA50 Acts of Wellness by volunteering to help organize the 1st Annual Harvest Festival in Leona Valley, CA.

Proceeds of The Harvest Festival benefit the Children’s Center of Antelope Valley, a private non-profit organization located in northern Los Angeles County that provides a continuum of services to child victims of abuse, children at risk of abuse and their families.

The Rite Aid team of volunteers arrived before sun-up to meet with the organizer of the event. They pitched numerous tents, set up the entertainment stage, seating, and hung banners. Rite Aid also donated cases of water and cups. The event raised over $24,000 for the Children’s Center of Antelope Valley.
